Description

1. Raymie, Dickie, and the Bean A Children's Book 2. •Richard Romano, a screenwriter and teacher at a Christian high school in New York, also coauthored the children's book Raymie, Dickie, and the Bean. Richard Romano wrote the book together with his brothers, actor Ray Romano and Robert Romano. 3. •Raymie, Dickie, and the Bean chronicles a day in the life of three brothers at a local amusement park. Told from the perspective of middle brother Raymie, it focuses on the ups and downs of childhood in a bustling family of boys. Its subtitle, “Why I Love and Hate My Brothers,” stands out as an apt summary of this iconic experience, highlighted with plenty of action and comedy. 4. •Over the course of the story, narrator Raymie expresses his and Dickie's annoyance at having a little brother, whose presence means that the older two must ride tamer attractions instead of the big, exciting roller coaster. Yet, even though Raymie must take time out of his day to accompany little Bean to the bathroom, he carries out his big-brotherly duties with an underlying tenderness that the authors balance skillfully with kid-friendly humor. The illustrations reflect the fun of the story, which Ray Romano also highlights as the narrator of the accompanying CD.
