Therefore "Credit Status" in the sales order header / Status tab was set to "Not approved". Credit department has released the credit block via transaction VKM4. Once sales document is released, you can see the "Credit Status" in the sales order header is set to "Released". There can be subsequent changes in the same sales document (After credit release), which are not relevant for credit check. For example, you can add sales text to order header, etc. But such changes should not carry out a new credit check and block the sales order again. This can be achieved using standard SAP setting in the automatic credit control settings. Configuration steps IMG Path: Go in to details of the credit control area, risk category and the credit group combination using button. Eg: Please note below points to locate the required values;  "Credit control area" is assigned to the company code in below IMG Path: Eg:  "Risk category" is assigned to the customer credit master record (Transaction: FD32)  "Credit Group" is assigned to the sales document type or delivery type in below IMG Path; Eg: Fields relevant for the credit check (After credit release) are in the section "Released documents are still unchecked" in the "Automatic credit control" settings;  Field "Deviation in %" - This field is used to specify the deviation factor for sales documents that have already been approved for credit. (Credit released) Eg: Let's say you have maintained a deviation factor at 10% in this field. A sales order was created for quantity 10 from material "A" (price = 100 USD each) has a total value of 1,000 USD and is approved for credit. The customer then calls and wants to add additional materials to the same sales order. If this results the deviation factor to exceed 10%, the system carries out another credit check and block the sales document.  Field "Number of Days" - This field is used to specify number of days after which a changed sales document (already credit released) must be re-checked for credit. Eg: Let's say you have maintained 10 days in this field. A sales order was created for a customer and credit released. All changes to the sales order within 10 days from the date it was released have no impact for a credit re-check. But after 10 days from the credit released date, system will do a re do a credit check once the sales document is changed. It will check whether current system date is not greater than the original release date plus the number of days specified in this field. Relates SAP notes Please below SAP note for more information on same!  SAP Note 718260 - Released documents are not checked Author: Anupa Wijesinghe E-Mail: [email protected] / [email protected] Website: www.learnsaptips.com View my profile in LinkedIn Follow me on Twitter Disclaimer This article is done based on my research and readings, unless otherwise stated.
